24-Hour Hackathon

2nd Runner-Up

November 2023

Xcaliber Knights · Rajalakshmi Engineering College

A 3D story-driven game about a time paradox, designed and built in 24 hours.

In November 2023, I led Xcaliber Knights at HackOverflow 3.0, a 24-hour inter-college hackathon hosted by Rajalakshmi Engineering College.

The challenge we chose involved a time paradox. Instead of building a conventional application, we decided to create a 3D story driven game using Unreal Engine.

Working through the night, debugging at 4 AM and making decisions without enough time to second guess them became part of the experience. We finished as 2nd runner-up in the inter-college category.

(The lesson)

How much of hackathon development is actually about communication and decision making.
